Wearing a gorgeous Alexander McQueen gown, the Princess of Wales made a remarkable appearance at Westminster Abbey, where her father-in-law is being crowned King this Saturday.
His every public speech is scrutinized. Kate Middleton didn’t miss her entrance into Westminster Abbey, where King Charles III is being crowned this Saturday, May 6. Dazzling, the Princess of Wales arrived in an ivory silk crepe gown embellished with silver embroidery of roses, thistles, daffodils and shamrocks to represent the four nations that make up the United Kingdom. A bespoke creation by Alexander McQueen, one of his favorite fashion houses.
Kate Middleton chose to wear a Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen leaf-shaped hat with crystals instead of a tiara. His daughter, Princess Charlotte, adopted a similar hairstyle.

Winks at Diana and Elizabeth II
Prince William’s wife chose Lady Diana’s pearl and diamond earrings as a tribute to her late mother-in-law. Earrings presented to the former Princess of Wales before her marriage to Prince Charles in 1981. To pay homage to Elizabeth II, “Perfect Kate,” as the English like to call her, also accessorized her royal outfit with a George VI Festoon necklace. A gift from King George VI to his eldest daughter, then a princess.
