Check out some things about Ravenclaw that don’t make much sense in the Harry Potter universe
During the narratives of the ‘Harry Potter’ books and films, there has always been a greater focus on Gryffindor and Slytherin houses. Because of this, there are not many details and explanations about some points of Ravenclaw, house founded by Rowena Ravenclaw, which are questioned by fans to this day.
Thinking about it, Recreio brought 5 things that don’t make sense in this house and that we will probably never have an explanation. Check out!
1. Main feature
Ravenclaw is the Hogwarts house that values learning, wit, wisdom and intellect. However, defining that intelligence is one of the greatest values of the house does not make sense. This is because all Hogwarts students have a certain level of smartness, that is, it is a trait that can be found in any wizard at the school.
If we compare it to the main values of the other houses, we realize that Ravenclaw doesn’t really have its own specific characteristic to define itself.
2. Attractive
Throughout the books of J.K. Rowling, it is described that Ravenclaw members are quite attractive and, due to the repetition of this information, it ends up becoming important for these wizards. However, it is strange that the house that values intelligence above all else has appearance as a factor in its traits.
3. The Diadem of Rowena Ravenclaw
One thing that fans of the Harry Potter universe may have found a little strange was how easy it was for the protagonist to find Rowena Ravenclaw’s diadem, one of the Horcruxes that needed to be destroyed. All he had to do was talk to the spirit of Helena Ravenclaw, daughter of the house’s founder, and convince her to give him the piece. Shouldn’t it be a little harder?
4. Small groups
Even though it is a school for wizards, Hogwarts also has its popular groups – and we can say that each house has its own group. Therefore, members of Ravenclaw shouldn’t have this kind of division, since everyone is smart and that should be enough. Social status shouldn’t matter to them, but we know they have the most beloved students by others.
5. Evil Witches

Anyone who thinks that only in Slytherin there are evil wizards is wrong. Despite not being the same type of evil, there are some members of Ravenclaw who thought they were smart enough to be able to carry out some attitudes, which if analyzed more closely, were not very good.
A case we see within the adventures of Harry Potter is Gilderoy Lockhart who was a Ravenclaw student when he studied at Hogwarts and, without any shame, wrote other people’s heroic acts as if they were his own when he became an adult. And that wasn’t enough, the wizard even erased the memory of the true heroes so they wouldn’t spoil his plan.
