5 bizarre fan theories

Check out some theories created by Twilight fans to answer some questions about the story

The Twilight saga has a huge legion of fans around the world. Even admiring the universe created by Stephenie Meyer, many question some things that are sometimes not well explained during the franchise, or even do not have any explanation. Therefore, many fans end up creating theories, which may or may not make sense, to get these answers.

Recreio separated an incredible list of some of these theories that were published on Reddit, and may help to clarify some point in the story — or simply be very bizarre. Check out!

1. Bella being a descendant of vampires

Kristen Stewart played Bella, protagonist of the saga, during the five productions that were adapted from the works of Meyer. Although the character is human, it is possible to see from the beginning that she has some traits and abilities of a vampire. This made fans believe that she might be descended from a vampire.

The protagonist was not afraid of the Cullens, in fact, she was attracted and intrigued by them. Going by the logic that there was a vampire in Bella’s family, she could handle that feeling, as she felt she was like them, somehow.

the user trollhumper comments that this idea gained more strength when the public became aware of the existence of hybrids, which makes it possible that someone in Bella’s family tree was a vampire.

2. Cult of Imaginary Vampires

The user Capricious Salmon published a scary theory on Reddit. According to the user, vampires and werewolves do not exist, and that, in fact, Bella was trapped in a cult, in which people drank blood and tried to become immortal beings. Following that logic, Jacob was the enemy of the story, as he was trying to get Bella out of it.

The theory relies heavily on the point of Bella not being a reliable narrator. So when she starts to be part of this cult, she makes up that people are vampires. The user even points out that she didn’t want to admit that she was trapped and couldn’t escape, so she lies to herself about the nature of this group.

3. Bella has been turning into a vampire since the first book

Some fans were shocked when Bella became a well-controlled and strong newborn, and in “Eclipse” it was shown that newborn vampires don’t have much control over their attitudes.

From there, the user wistfluywarm created a theory that explains why Bella got along so well once she was turned into a vampire. The user said it’s likely that the protagonist has been transitioning from human to vampire since the first book. That’s because, at the end of the first work of the saga, she was exposed to vampire poison, and almost became one in fact.

However, Edward sucked out all the venom from his beloved — but it is possible that, from that point on, Bella’s organism began a slow transition, which was accelerated when she began to receive venom from Renesmee directly in the womb. This would explain why Bella is able to control her thirst once she actually becomes a vampire.

4. Vampire Eye Color

As soon as we enter the Twilight universe, one thing becomes clear: vampires who feed on human blood have red eyes, while those who feed on the blood of mammalian animals have yellow irises.

But what if vampires fed on other types of animals? The user Kunstprodukt he supposes that if vampires drank the blood of vertebrate animals, their eyes would be in different, luminous shades.

For the user, immortal beings who drank the blood of an amphibian would have lemon green eyes, while those who drank from birds would have brown irises, with some blue stripes. And the theory specifies some more animals, such as reptiles, in which the eyes could be purple or green with purple, and even fish, which would generate light blue eyes.

5. Are the Cullens fairies?

Despite being one of the most recurring jokes on the internet, there is a theory that points out that the Cullens are fairies! the user GodEmperorofHell created this assumption from some attributes that clan members possess.

Among the characteristics, there is the fact that they live in the forest and, when they are in the sun, instead of “melting” as in traditional vampire stories, they glow. The Sidhe, who are elves/fairies of Irish culture, have the same peculiarities, and still drink blood.

Another factor that brings the Cullens closer to fairies is the fact that these beings are always fascinated by a single person. And it’s clear that each Cullen has a fascination with someone, and in this case, they all belong to the same clan.
