This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on the air of the national telethon, the Ukrinform agency reports.
The Army of Drones is a project launched by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Development. Within its framework, a systematic purchase of drones, their repair, as well as training courses for relevant specialists are planned. The project started on July 1, 2022.
We recently completed the first part of the UAV pilot training project, 10,000 pilots have been trained during this time. That is, the army of drones is about the integrated development of the UAV sphere, both in terms of production and in terms of their use, Fedorov emphasized.
The Minister noted that the project continues to develop.
Only recently we have completed a new collection and will be introducing a new collection on UAVs,” Fedorov noted.
Most importantly, United24 has sufficiently developed the market of Ukrainian manufacturers and, in fact, turned from one lot, for which United24 raised funds, into a large-scale program to support our army in general and the implementation of the “Army of Drones” project. This is the launch of strike companies launched by our Armed Forces, this is the transformation of the doctrine of the use of UAVs,” the minister notes.
