Donald Trump has released a new batch of digital trading cards sold as NFTs, which “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert described as “a scam we all stopped falling for 18 months ago.”
The $99 cards have been called “nightmare fuel” by critics, and Colbert couldn’t agree more after seeing images like these:
“It’s with a flaming lion flying on Earth, which also floats in the cloudy sky of Earth in front of the beautiful constellation 45 RU,” Colbert described. “This, of course, was brought to you by Kyle, who grabbed some mushrooms and started playing with his artistic AI bot.”
If that’s not far-fetched enough, Colbert came up with an idea for one that could be featured in the next round of “collectible pens” to be released by Trump.
“I’m thinking: I’m playing guitar, on a motorcycle, on a boat, hanging from a helicopter, piloted by a lava gorilla, in space,” Colbert described.
