the first steps

First of all, we would like to apologize for the sad and heartbreaking news.
On April 19, ASTRO member Moonbin suddenly left us to become a star in the sky.
While we cannot compare our grief to the pain grieving families are feeling, losing a beloved son and brother, ASTRO members, fellow Fantagio artists, company executives and employees are mourning the deceased in great sadness and shock.
It is even more painful to deliver this news so suddenly to the fans who supported Moonbin and sent him their love. We are heartbroken because we know the feelings of the deceased, who always loved and thought of his fans more than anyone else.
We sincerely ask that you refrain from speculative and malicious reports so that the bereaved families, who are in a state of great sadness and grief due to the sudden news, can honor the deceased.
According to the wishes of the bereaved families, the funeral will be held as discreetly as possible with family members and company colleagues.

A note from the Seoul Gangnam Police Station released by Yonhap News reported that the idol was found lifeless by his manager at his home in Gangnam District around 8:10 pm (South Korean time). The official statement issued by the police reads:
Police officers believe Moonbin took his own life and are considering performing an autopsy while investigating the cause of death.”
The idol would come to Brazil to perform a show scheduled for June 5th in São Paulo with the Moonbin&Sanha unit. The duo was also due to take the stage at Dream Concert 2023, one of the biggest K-pop events in South Korea.
