Bubblegum Songs: 6 K-Pop Tracks That Can’t Get Out of Your Head

Check out some k-pop songs that won’t get out of your head after listening to them

At some point in your life, you’ve probably had a song in your head that wouldn’t come out at all, even with a lot of effort. Bubblegum songs are scattered all over the world, ready to have you repeating them in your mind all day, they are so catchy.

In K-pop this phenomenon is no different, and there is a huge list of bubblegum songs that will never let you down. To prove it, Recreio has put together a list of six songs that you can’t get out of your head. Check out!

1. IOI — Very Very Very

Formed in 2016 through Mnet’s Produce 101 program, IOI was a temporary group that lasted approximately a year, but was hugely successful with their songs that couldn’t get out of their heads. One of the most remembered to this day – including its infectious choreography – is “Very Very Very”, present on the album “Miss Me?”. The track was also responsible for giving the group their first win on a Korean music show.

2. WJSN Chocome — Hmph!

WJSN Chocome is one of the sub-units of the girl group Cosmic Girls (WJSN), consisting of members Luda, Soobin, Dayoung and Yeoreum. The unit debuted in 2020 with the track “Hmph!”, which has not left fans’ heads since its release thanks to the striking and repetitive chorus, in addition to its easy-to-play choreography.

3. Oh My Girl — Dun Dun Dance

“Dun Dun Dance” was one of the great k-pop hits in the year 2021. In addition to being featured on music shows, the track also conquered very expressive numbers on Korean charts, and was always mentioned on variety shows, even if the Oh My Girl members were not present.

4. BIGBANG — BANG BANG BANG

Practically every kpoppper knows this song and can sing its full chorus, even if they don’t know Korean properly. YG Entertainment’s boygroyp song was released in 2015 but is still a huge hit to this day, being extremely loved and played by idols and fans everywhere.

5. SHINee — Ring Ding Dong

Probably “Ring Ding Dong” from SHINee, is the very definition of K-pop bubblegum music. That’s because, in 2017, eight years after its release, it was elected number one on the list of “Worst songs for the exam season” since, according to netizens, it stuck in the head and made it impossible for students to focus.

6. TREASURE — DARARI

“DARARI” is a b-side featured on TREASURE’s latest album, “The Second Step: Chapter One”, which naturally went viral on TikTok thanks to a dance created by a fan. Now, thanks to its success, even those who no k-pop fan knows the song, and he’s sure spent a good deal of time with the song’s chorus stuck in his head.
