A military approach to unblocking Ukraine’s ports is currently under consideration, the president said.

The Russian Federation has blocked almost all ports and maritime export opportunities of Ukraine. A military method of unblocking ports is also currently being considered. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference on Saturday, May 21.

“22 million tons are blocked today, and the Russians are still constantly stew and export it somewhere … We need to unblock these routes, because there will be a crisis in the world. Appropriate weapons, we appeal to partners,” he said .

Earlier, the Russian Federation called for conditions for the unblocking of Ukrainian ports. Russia is ready to unblock Ukrainian ports in exchange for lifting sanctions. Note that UN Secretary-General António Guterres has proposed removing some sanctions against Russia so that the Kremlin can unblock grain exports from Ukraine.

Also, due to blocked ports, Ukraine loses 170 million dollars every day, and 90 million tons of agricultural products are found domestically.
