Hardly anyone remembers, but Ariel is the youngest of the seven daughters of Triton and Athena. Meet them all!
Many people may end up forgetting, but Princess Ariel is not the only daughter of King Triton and Queen Athena. In reality, she is the youngest among 7 sisters. They are: Attina, Alana, Adella, Aquata, Arista and Andrina. Because they appear little in the younger sister’s films, the other princesses of Atlantis end up going unnoticed by most of the public.
Not to be left out, get to know a little more about all of Ariel’s sisters!
Attina
As the eldest daughter, Attina can be recognized by wearing a crown quite similar to her father’s, and by her orange tail and top. She is 21 years old, the most responsible of all the girls, and terrified of letting her father down.
Alana
The second heiress is 20 years old, has a purple tail and top, and is considered by the sisters to be the most glamorous. She is always worried about how she looks, so her biggest fear is that someday her skin will get flaky, and she hates it when her hair gets messy.
Adella
The third sister is 19-year-old Adella. She uses the colors yellow and green, and has undergone some physical changes during the films. In the 1989 animation, for example, she appears with black hair, while in the sequels the color changed to dark brown. According to the sisters, she is the “boy freak” of the group.
aquata
Aquata is the fourth daughter and, like Adella, she also undergoes some changes between films – like the color of her eyes that changes without explanation. Her color is blue, she is 18 years old and is considered the toughest among the seven.
arista
Responsible for the red color, Arista is the fifth daughter of Triton and Athena, she is only 17 years old, and is one of the closest to ariel. The sisters describe her as the most fun, as well as being extremely passionate about music. Her favorite hobby, by the way, is playing in a band.
Andrina
The youngest before Ariel, Andrina is 16 years old, has a purple tail and a top that varies from purple to pink. She is the most witty among the sisters and, during the first animation, she is the girl responsible for realizing that the youngest is in love.
