Nicki Minaj enters the world of animation.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper will star in and executive produce the animated series “Lady Danger,” based on the Dark Horse comic book series of the same name written by Alex de Campi. The deadline has been communicated on Thursday.
The upcoming Amazon Freevee series will also be produced by 50 Cent through his production company G-Unit Films and Television Inc. Additionally, Make Good Content’s Brian Sher, Paul Young and Mike Griffin serve as executive producers.
In recent years, 50 Cent has amassed a long list of film credits, producing hit shows like “Power” and “BMF.”
On Wednesday, the “Candy Shop” rapper couldn’t contain his excitement for the new project and shared the news about his fellow New York entertainer in a series of Instagram posts.
“What are you doing today we’re working @nickiminaj South Side you already know what it is. …don’t miss it,” the 47-year-old hitmaker wrote in a post.

Set in the year 2075, “Lady Danger” follows an “agent who is left for dead by his team after uncovering a dangerous secret, only to be resurrected as Lady Danger, an afro-futuristic agent who kicks his ass to BOOTI (Office of Intervention in Organized Terrorism). ), who must hide his true identity while battling villains who are destroying the earth and its vulnerable inhabitants.
Minaj is no novice to voice acting. He has starred in many popular TV shows and movies such as ‘The Cleveland Show’, 2012’s ‘Ice Age: Continental Drift’ and 2019’s ‘The Angry Birds Movie 2’.
Plot details have been kept under wraps until now, but that hasn’t stopped fans from storming Twitter to praise the star for his upcoming series.
Written by executive producers Carlton Jordan and Crystle Roberson, “Lady Danger” has yet to set a release date.
