Among the biggest requests from Stranger Things fans is the return of the character Eddie Munson, played by the actor. Joseph Quinn in the fourth season of the Netflix series. Despite the star having already stated that his return is “unlikely”, the leader of the Hellfire Club will be the protagonist of a new book inspired by the production universe, as disclosed by the Entertainment Weekly portal.
According to the website, the work is written by Caitlin Schneiderhan, who works as a screenwriter on the fifth season, and will be called “Flight of Icarus”, with a release in the United States scheduled for October. “Meeting the characters from Eddie’s past that, for better or for worse, made him who he is has been one of the most rewarding parts of exploring this story. I can’t wait for the fans to meet them too. Eddie, this one’s for you!” declared the author.
According to information released by the Omelete portal, “Flight of Icarus” will be set two years before the events of the series, when Eddie still did not know Mike and his friends. The plot will show the metalhead meeting Paige, a producer who makes him a promise: to help his band. However, the boy will need money to make everything happen and, in this way, he decides to enter the last scheme carried out by his father.
In the fourth season of Stranger Things, Eddie sacrifices himself to save his colleagues’ lives by distracting the Upside Down “bats” as they try to defeat Vecna. Since then, fans of the franchise have created numerous hypotheses to try to bring the beloved character back, however, the brothers duffercreators of the series, have stated that the rocker’s return will not happen because Eddie, “unfortunately”, is dead.
The fifth and final season responsible for bringing the closure of the saga of Eleven and her friends and the conflicts with the inverted world has not yet received a synopsis, however, it is speculated that the first events in Hawkings should connect with the end of the series. , bringing Will back as one of the highlights of the plot.
