Paulina Porizkova celebrates her 58th birthday by sharing a nude photo

Paulina Porizkova celebrated her 58th birthday this week by baring (almost) everything.

On Monday, the supermodel shared a photo on Instagram in which she appeared completely naked while lying on a bed with only a sheet strategically tied around her waist.

“Starting 58 with nothing but sunshine and a smile,” Porizkova wrote in the caption accompanying the sexy photo. “And I hope the best is yet to come and nothing but gratitude for everything that has brought me here today.”

By Tuesday afternoon, the photo had received a flurry of comments from fans and some of Porizkova’s famous friends.

“I love you so much. Happy birthday my sister,” author Jennifer Pastiloff wrote.

Actress Christina Ricci added: “You are an inspiration.”

Porizkova, who is of Czech heritage, unveiled a memoir, No Filter: The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful, last November.

For the past few years, she’s made it a tradition to express her gratitude to her fans with a thoughtful post on her birthday. Last year, she opted for a makeup-free selfie, writing, “57 and proud of it.”

“Age is actually a number, the number of years we’ve been lucky enough to be here to experience all that life has to offer,” she said at the time. “The number of years we’ve had to better ourselves and, by extension, the lives of those around us.”

“Aging is truly a wonderful thing,” he continued, “and none of us should ever be proud of our numbers.”

Speaking to Elle magazine in 2007, Porizkova said she only started taking care of her physical health after she turned 40, noting that her routine up until then consisted mainly of “just cigarettes and bad food”.

“I always do everything the hard way,” she explained. “It takes me 20 years longer than everyone else. I started exercising to help with my panic attacks and to stop taking anti-depressants. I found that if I exercised every day, my anxiety was kept at bay. And I felt better. So how awesome is it?
