After all, how did Donkey and Dragon from ‘Shrek’ manage to have babies?

In ‘Shrek’, the characters have six mutated puppies; find out how it was possible!

Featured in the ‘Shrek’ franchise, which had its first film released in 2001, the talking Donkey who helps the fearsome ogre save the princess, in addition to the graceful — and slightly frightening — Dragon that dwells Far Far Away, will always be remembered for their unlikely relationship.

The statement is due to the fact that, the love that had everything to go wrong, ended up being cultivated and, as a result, generated unimaginable fruits, since the duo ended up having five small mutant puppies, with mixed characteristics between the look of a dragon and a donkey. They are: Jabuticaba, Paçoca, Peanut, Coconut and Banana.

Despite forming a cute family, the relationship in real life would be unviable. Therefore, after following the story, it is possible that you have already asked yourself: how did Donkey and Dragon from Shrek manage to have puppies?

The issue that has permeated the DreamWorks universe for decades has gained a theory built by Youtuber imagination, inspired by another thesis presented by his Canadian professional colleague, the theorizer, which intends to explain how the romance happened, involving historical facts and a request from the Fairy Godmother. Got confused? Recreio explains!

Context

In the film, we know that Fiona is the victim of a curse that turns her into an ogress at night, an episode that caused her to be imprisoned in a tower for threatening the peace of her kingdom. However, the said spell could be broken when she received true love’s kiss, making her just a princess and not a ‘monster’ anymore.

Already in the video, imaginary explains that there is a theory that supports yours. This thesis argues that the Fairy Godmother is responsible for cursing Fiona as part of a larger and much more complex plan: to transform her son, Prince Charming into a King, so that she would have control over the entire territory of Far Far Away. .

However, this idea arose from a deal signed between the Fairy Godmother and Harold, Fiona’s father, since, before living as a king, he was a simple frog, but through a request, he had his look transformed to that of a human, as his desire was to marry the Queen.

In return, Harold would give his future daughter’s hand in marriage to the Fairy Godmother’s son. But, for the plan to work, Prince Charming must defeat a dragon that was protecting the tower in which Fiona was kept.

Even so, as the young man, who was very vain, was not very skilled and did not demonstrate the strength of a great warrior, the dragon was also part of the deal, since he would let Prince Charming pass, making everyone conquer what they wanted. .

The theory

But how could a dragon be part of such a complex plan? It is at this point that the theory of imaginarysince, according to the Youtuber, the Dragon was part of the deal because there was a magical favor involved.

In the past, having children was seen as something glorious by society, and was even portrayed as a blessing from God. Thus, women who were barren, ended up being despised because they could not generate a life, and they received the title of curse, as he remembers imaginary in his video, citing that the film should be set around the same time.

With that in mind, the Youtuber’s thesis argues that a woman who couldn’t have children ended up becoming widely known in So So Far, having her story discovered by the Fairy Godmother, who saw the situation as a way to benefit.

Soon after, the Fairy Godmother sought her out and suggested transforming her into a dragon to protect the tower until Prince Charming finally arrived in search of the favor exchange: after Fiona’s rescue by the Fairy’s son, the deal would be completed and she would return to her human form, but this time, being able to have children and without needing a man for that, since she was rejected by several during her life. However, as the one who ends up saving the princess is Shrek, the deal ends up failing and the woman cannot return to her original form.

Even so, as years have gone by, somewhere between the events of the first two films, she looks for the Fairy Godmother and asks for her favor, this time wanting to have puppies with the love of her life: Donkey.

imaginary goes on to explain that the Dragon had her wish fulfilled because she spent years fulfilling a large part of her duty. Thus, the Fairy Godmother ended up fulfilling a fraction of the agreement, resulting in the creation of a potion that joined the DNA of the two animals and generated new lives.

As a result, the giant fire-breathing being has gone through the gestational period and is soon able to care for the eggs of its young until they hatch.

please note that imaginary argues that the evidence that the Dragon could have really been a woman, are the human characteristics that she has, mainly for wearing makeup. Also, she is the only dragon in the entire Shrek universe. Check out the full theory!
