Ben Affleck, who has been friends with Matt Damon for more than 40 years and shares an Oscar with him, put his friend in his place on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Monday.
Clarkson asked the “Air” co-stars about their famous Wordle group with Bradley Cooper, Will Arnett and Jason Bateman. Affleck said he’s been “on the ropes” with Damon since appearing with them on the popular pun, which is now owned by The New York Times.
Perhaps Damon was over-explaining the Wordle spinoffs they starred in, prompting Affleck to reply, “Okay, Will Hunting.”
The shot hit Kelly Clarkson and fellow “Air” host Chris Tucker.
Damon, of course, played the brilliant Will Hunting in “Good Will Hunting,” while Affleck played his friend. They co-wrote the film and won an Oscar for the screenplay in 1998.
