The site Weddings.net: revealed which French people’s favorite days to celebrate their union.
The French often prefer to get together in the summer. This is evidenced by the surveys made on the website Weddings.net: The three most popular dates for couples in 2023 are indeed the weeks of June 17th and 24th, and July 15th. By him, The White Paper on Marriage conducted a study on this topic in collaboration with Esade, Google and HEC, which was conducted on 4150 people. He confirms that the favorite months for the bride and groom to organize their celebrations are the sunniest. 19% of respondents plan to get married in August, compared to 18.6% in July, 17.1% in September, and 11.1% in May. 9% of them still prefer to get married in October, and 4.9% – in April. A proportion that fell to 2.8% in November. February remains the most avoided month, with only 0.4% of respondents choosing this time to celebrate their union.
Festival halls and castles
The study also identifies the preferred venues for brides and grooms, whose average age is 33, to host their receptions. In particular, 26% of them chose the village hall, 13% for the castle and 10% for the rustic place. Only 8% now choose a restaurant and 2% choose a villa. Spaces that couples mainly find on the Internet (71% of them) and choose mainly according to the quality/price ratio and the beauty of the site. The study also shows that the average cost of a wedding in France will be 15,600 euros.
