The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has teased Michigan-born Russian citizen Steven Seagal after the action movie actor allegedly promoted teaching martial arts to Russian military recruits.
“Russia reportedly recruited Steven Seagal to teach martial arts to its soldiers,” the Ukrainian government agency tweeted Thursday.
“The Seagal-style running technique is said to be included in the training,” he continued. “Russian soldiers will now be able to leave their positions with strange hand movements.”
The blow to the “Under Siege” actor came as the Russian invasion of Ukraine entered its 14th month.
Seagal became a Russian citizen in 2016.
The actor and director praised Russian President Vladimir Putin as “one of the greatest leaders of the living world, joined a pro-Putin political party and was even appointed Moscow’s ambassador to the United States.
Seagal has been accused by several women of sexual misconduct, including rape. Seagal has denied the allegations.
