Jimmy Fallon tried to fill an “empty spot” in Taylor Swift’s discography on Thursday’s “The Tonight Show”.
Fellon, who interviewed singer “Red” before her latest album in 2021, tried to show a bit about Swift’s upcoming release alongside The Roots Black Thought frontman Tariq Trotter himself.
The presenter asked if Swift’s records of “1989” and “Speak Now” would be released on Friday.
Swift was working on her first six albums after music manager Scooter Brown bought and sold the master record, which she later criticized.
Black Thought later asked Fallon how he found out the answer to the “gossip”.
Fellon, who said the album’s release dates were everywhere, was preceded by the discovery of leaked suggestions in Swift’s music videos and online merchandise store.
The host, rushing at the first hint, asked Black Thought if he “followed” his gossip.
“Yes, no,” replied the frontman.
Below you can watch Fallon’s complex and short -lived investigation into Swift.
Fallon isn’t the only late night host who loves the music of singer “Lover”.
Late Show host Stephen Colbert asked Swift about the importance of his song “Hey Stephen” from his 2021 album “Fearless”.
Colbert played a 2009 clip from “Colbert Report” in which he wondered if the original version of Swift’s “Hey Stephen” was included here.
“Hey Stephanie it must be me, like‘ Lucy in heaven with diamonds ’is supposed to be flying on a Lucy ball plane with all her gems,” Colbert said in 2021. “Believe in something else , you have to finish the acid. “
Colbert later asked Swift, who wrote the song for country music singer Stephen Barker Lyles, if there was a song about him.
“No,” Swift replied quickly. “I mean, I first recorded this song in 2008, I think I’m 18.”
“Yeah, I’m younger too,” Kolber joked.
