Check out some references present in ‘Mulan’, a Disney film released in 1998
Released 25 years ago, ‘Mulan’ hit theaters in 1998 featuring Disney’s first female warrior princess. The plot accompanies the title character of the film trying to keep a big secret about who she really is while helping the Chinese army to fight the invasion of the Huns.

1. Reference to a historical work
As the ancestors introduce themselves, there is an elderly couple that appears as a reference to one of the most well-known works in art history: American Gothic.
