Ciara sees through all the criticism of the ensemble she wore to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday night.
The singer attended the event with her husband, Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson, wearing a sheer Dundas dress. Her look featured black lingerie and nude pasties, which were visible through the dress. She accessorized the ensemble with black elbow length gloves.
On Wednesday, Ciara teased the backlash she received online about the outfit in a TikTok video. In the clip, she pretends to be on a red carpet wearing a white sheet that covers her entire body.
“POV: How I’m Going to Vanity Fair Next Year,” she captioned the post with a laughing emoji.
The singer captioned the post, “Selective outrage,” which is the title of Chris Rock’s latest Netflix comedy special.

Ciara’s daring appearance drew some criticism from people online who in many cases used sexist talking points to condemn her choice of clothing. Some Twitters users complained that Ciara dress it was inappropriate as a wife and mother.
The “Level Up” singer and Wilson are parents to three children: Future, 8, Sienna, 5, and Win, 2. Ciara shares Future with her ex-boyfriend, rapper Future.
But the singer didn’t seem fazed by recent criticism and misconceptions about what motherhood and marriage should be like. On Wednesday, she posted a series of photos on Instagram showing her wearing a black T-shirt – no pants – with high heels.
“Get that money sis keep it up,” she captioned the post.
