In an interview, Miley Cyrus explained how she divided the album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ into two parts
After the resounding success of ‘Flowers’, Miley Cyrus instigates fans with the debut of ‘Endless Summer Vacation’, her new studio album, which will be released this Friday, the 10th. With 13 songs and different sounds, repeat can be tempting for many listeners, however, the artist explained in an interview with way he determined the album’s tracklist.
In an interview that was released on her social networks, Cyrus revealed that the album was thought of in two parts: AM (before noon) and PM (after noon). During the conversation, our eternal Hannah Montana explains which is ‘almost an act’.
“When it comes to the sequencing of ‘Endless Summer Vacation,’ I split it into two parts, ‘AM’ and ‘PM,’ to represent almost one act,” Miley said in the video. “‘AM’ for me represents the morning period, where there’s a buzz and an energy and there’s potential for new possibilities. It’s a new day.”
Already thinking about ‘PM’, Cyrus reflects on how people tend to feel at night: “At night, it feels like there’s a slinky, decadent and kind of dirty, but glamorous at the same time. At night, it’s a great time to rest, it’s a recovery time. Or it’s time to leave and experience the wild side”.
The division
Previously, Miley described the ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ as a ‘love letter’ to Los Angeles. “In LA, there’s a certain energy to the night and you can feel the problem boiling to the surface and it’s very inspiring to me,” says the star. With that in mind, this is how Miley Cyrus’ new album would be divided:
AM: Flowers, Jaded, Rose Colored Lenses, Thousand Miles (feat. Brandi Carlile), You and Handstand
PM: River, Violet Chemistry, Muddy Feet (feat. Sia), Wildcard, Island, Wonder Woman, Flowers (Demo)
