Danish brand Helot Emil put on a fiery performance during its Fall/Winter 2023-2024 show on February 28 at Paris Fashion Week.
All fire all flames. Danish label Heliot Emil literally burned a model’s clothes at the end of its Fall/Winter 2023-2024 show at Paris Fashion Week on February 28. Two men were responsible for flaming the black-armored and hooded model’s back and legs before she was allowed to walk the catwalk. A performance that naturally ignited social networks. And, thus, joins the line of spectacular performances that have been especially long during recent Fashion Weeks.
The Copernicus effect
Models throwing themselves into the crowd at Sunnei, color-changing clothes at Anrealage, naked models on the catwalk at AVAVAV… Since Bella Hadid’s famous spray-on dress at the Coperni show last September, Fashion Weeks have been on the rise. It was the turn of Victor and Julius Juli, two brothers who founded the Heliot Emil brand in 2017, to join the movement. Creators of subversive collections devoted to experimentation and provocation, the duo, finalists for the 2022 ADAM Prize, have been through the ordeal of fire.
