The huge list of villains in Disney movies includes pirates, gods, sorcerers, warriors, royalty or even cruel selfish people who just want to end the lives of docile puppies. Regardless of their functions in society, these characters end up uniting for a single reason: evil.
Although everyone has the objective of disrupting the plans of the good guys, there are some antagonists who stand out for their ability to go to the lowest levels to get what they want. Thinking about them, Recreio separated below the 5 most cdruel villains of the disney. Check out!
5. Hades
In 1997, ‘Hercules’ hit theaters, a film that was responsible for presenting Hades, the God of the underworld. Proving that deities can be evil, Hades showed that the thirst for power can transform anyone, and make them capable of doing anything, as the villain imprisoned souls, kidnapped babies and was willing to kill members of his own family to for him to gain control of the entire world.
4. Cruella de Vil
“Cruel Cruel, Cruel Cruel
It’s more treacherous than a rattlesnake
Only gall circulates in their veins
The excerpt from Cruella de Vil’s theme song in ‘101 Dalmatians’ (1996) already reveals a lot about her personality: Cruella is unreliable, in addition to being mean and bitter. The character doesn’t care about humans, let alone animals, being able to manipulate the people she knows just to get a new piece of clothing in her closet: a coat made of Dalmatian fur.
3. Evil Queen
Disney’s first villain couldn’t be left out of this list either! The Evil Queen first appeared in 1937 as Snow White’s stepmother. The antagonist showed her most perverse side when the magic mirror revealed that the position of the most beautiful girl that ever existed now belonged to her stepdaughter, triggering a wave of rage motivated only by vanity that led her to try to kill the young girl twice.
2. Shan Yu
In 1998, Disney fans got to meet Shan Yu, the evil leader of the Huns and the main antagonist of ‘Mulan’. The villain soon revealed himself to be one of the cruelest ever created, since to establish his power and conquer territories, he takes pleasure in decimating cultures and people, so that there is no one left to face him.
1. Claude Frollo
Introduced as a Parisian minister of justice, Claude Frollo from ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ (1996), in addition to being a religious fanatic intolerant of sinners, the villain does not hesitate when it comes to killing gypsies, chasing them for two decades.
Even when he adopts a gypsy for fear of going to hell, Frollo does not leave the perversity aside, imprisoning the boy and even trying to kill him.
