She’s finally coming! On Tuesday, the 21st, YG Entertainment issued a statement confirming that Jisooa member of BLACKPINK, has already started recording the video for her solo debut, which does not yet have an announced release date.
“The music video for Jisoo’s solo track is being filmed entirely overseas in strict secrecy. It’s worth looking forward to, as we’ve invested the highest production cost of all BLACKPINK videos to date.”
The agency continues in its note stating that “In addition to the passion of Jisoofull support from YG has been added. Jisoo, who will be reborn as a solo artist, planned all overseas locations to maximize the charm of this song. This is the reason why the birth of the greatest MV of all time is expected. Jisoo has been working hard to keep its promise to the fans, and thanks to that, the whole process will go smoothly and quickly. YG says that even with the tour’s busy schedule, they made extraordinary efforts to maintain the integrity and quality of the release. As Jisoo is the last member to debut solo, the atmosphere is gradually heating up. Expectations are high on the kind of music she will unveil to the world, as she has been beloved by global fans with her unrivaled visuals and unique vocals.”
As stated by the company, Jisoo will be the last member of BLACKPINK to debut solo. The first was jenniein 2018, with the single “SOLO”, followed by roséin 2021, which debuted with the single album “-R-”, and Lisawho debuted as a soloist in the same year through the single album “LALISA”.
Currently, BLACKPINK is touring the world with its “BORN PINK” world tour, which has already passed through regions such as North America, Europe and Asia, adding an audience of more than 1.5 million people. In addition, the group is confirmed as the headliner at two major festivals later this year: Coachella, in the United States, scheduled to take place in April, and British Summer Time (BST) Hyde Park, in London, England, which will take place on month of July. So far, dates for South America have not yet been revealed.
