Simu Liu noted the big moment he had at this weekend’s NBA All-Star Game, but one moment — a video comparison of a photo of the actor with a photo of a fan who appeared to be of Asian descent — “didn’t been nice” ” to him.
Liu, who attended the NBA All-Star Weekend event on Friday, shared his disapproval of the “celebrity lookalike” segment that took place at the event in Salt Lake City.
More Twitter users, including “Game of Thrones” actor Nathalie Emmanuelhe later analyzed an image from the video card, while one told the segment to include a “random asian guy“in the crowd.
Liu, in a follow-up tweet, clarified his feelings about the segment.
“To be perfectly clear, the entire organizational and operational team surrounding the All-Star has been nothing but absolutely stellar to me and all my friends,” Liu wrote.
“This was just one person with a camera. and no disrespect to my videotron man! It’s wonderful, we just don’t look alike.”
Liu was one of many stars to attend the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game alongside Janelle Monáe and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” personality Guillermo Rodriguez.
Actor “Shang Chi”. he tweeted in 2019 that he plays his way at the game on Friday sank a bad “4-point” shot attempt from deep inside during the event.
The NBA did not immediately respond to a HuffPost request for comment on the similar segment.
