Mischa Barton once said she was advised to sleep with Leonardo DiCaprio when she was 19 and he was 30.
The “OC” star made the statement in a 2005 interview that gained new attention this week amid talk of DiCaprio’s penchant for dating younger women. Barton allegedly claimed her publicist at the time advised her to sleep with DiCaprio, who had recently split from model Gisele Bündchen, 25, when they spotted him at a photo shoot in Malibu, California .
“Isn’t Leo 30 or something?” Barton covered Harpers & Queen (now Harper’s Bazaar), according to a 2005 article in the British publication The Times. The original Harpers & Queen article does not appear to be online.
After DiCaprio, now 48, was spotted with 19-year-old model Eden Polani at a Grammy event on Sunday, a pop culture-focused Twitter account published on Barton’s 2005 interview with the comment: “He’s aged well.” The tweet received nearly 5 million views.

While a source told Page Six that DiCaprio is not dating Polani, the actor has long made headlines for the age differences in his relationships. She even got a shout-out at the Emmys last year from Kenan Thompson, who joked that 26 was “too old to date Leonardo DiCaprio.” The “Titanic” star recently dated model Camila Morrone, but they broke up shortly after her 25th birthday.
Barton was at the height of his fame at the time of the reported meeting and starred in films such as ‘The Sixth Sense’ before leading the hit series ‘The OC’ starting in 2003. DiCaprio has been an A-lister since the 1960s. 90s.
