Jennifer Lopez improved her professional image while her husband, Ben Affleckhe always tended to carry his heart alone Back sleeve.
So when the newlyweds were caught on camera at the Grammys apparently arguing with each other, their respective responses to realizing they’d been busted were, well, brand new hilarious.
In a clip widely shared on social media, Grammy host Trevor Noah appears to be in the middle, verbally questioning Bennifer nearby. When they both realize they’re on camera, Lopez quickly goes from looking annoyed to being fully engaged in Noah’s shenanigans. Meanwhile, Affleck tries to have fun and play, but quickly backs off and gives the camera a sad smile.
The couple’s style rift – and inability to hear what they were talking about – led many on social media to speculate about their alleged spat.
The Daily Mail even went so far hire an experienced lip reader to find out what they are saying.
“Stop it,” Lopez told Affleck, according to a lip reader who spoke to the tabloid. “You seem friendlier. He seems motivated.”
And while perhaps we should give this interpretation as much credence as we do for, say, Dunkin’ Donuts All of America runs with the coffee, it’s easy to see why one might think that’s what they were arguing about.
Especially since it doesn’t take any lip reading or body language skills to see that Affleck spent Sunday night looking like a sad emo guy stuck in an American Girl store.
