In a photo on his Instagram, the authorRick Riordanwhich is responsible for writing the script for the first episode of the series produced by Disney+ ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’, reported that the filming of the first season of the production was finished.
In the photo posted by rick, there was an ice sculpture that decorated the place where he was having his last lunch on the set. In the caption, he said: “It’s over, y’all! […] Months and months of post-production still remain, but principal photography has ended for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Season One!”
Together with Jon Steinberg, the author of the post will write the pilot episode of the series, as reported by the Omelete website. Still, the new Disney production will feature the direction of James Reel.
In the cast, the title character of the series, Percy Jackson, will be played by the actor Walker Scobellwho has participated in the production ‘O Projeto Adam’ together with Ryan Reynolds. Beyond, Leah Jeffries will play Annabeth and Aryan Simhadri will make the character Grover, who is the best friend of the protagonist of the production.
Between 2005 and 2009, ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ had five literary publications, and even had a five-volume derivative, which was named ‘The Heroes of Olympus’.
The series still does not have a set premiere date within the Disney streaming platform, but the author of the production expects the launch to take place only next year, in 2024.
