Is it bad luck talking about myself in a promo?
No, because I’m used to it. Regardless Simple family history is artistic Tickles it was intimate work… It is not work as long as there is a universal dimension behind it. If I talk about child crime, knowing that today eighteen children are raped every hour, talking about me means talking about others. And that’s why I do it, to speak for those who suffer and are not heard, the abandoned victims.
Why is this novel important to me?
I used to write fiction. I had written scripts with Eric Metayer, but here I was alone. I had to invent the topic of transgenerationalism, the idea that traumas and secrets are part of the DNA of families and passed down unconsciously. I would love to push people to tell the truth, even if it hurts.
After #MeToo, we can see that this patriarchy, a certain toxic masculinity, is benefiting everyone.

How does this book resonate in my life?
This novel is not autobiographical, but at one point my father told me that I had a great-grandfather who defended himself from my great-grandfather, who was going to hit him again; he seized a log and killed him. . I was surprised. I often thought that being a victim of child abuse made me want to fight again and again. But it is possible that I also “inherited” this fighting spirit.
Why should you read it? Simple family history?
Because this novel does not condemn anyone, neither men nor women. In the wake of #MeToo, we can see that this patriarchy, a certain toxic masculinity, is making everyone lucky. It’s a feminist book, but I think it will reach many men.
I’m not misandre, I just want us to change the prism. I want prevention, support, justice
Andrea Bescond
The question I am afraid of.
Nobody. But I’m tired of hearing people tell me over and over. “Andrea, you have courage!” I don’t do this to be told that, and I want to tell them that you have to take it, this courage.
My current mental workload?
My children’s father and I adore each other but we are separated and my concern is that all is well in the family and that everyone remains as loving and complicit as ever.
Is there a misunderstanding about me?
Accusation: I’m not misandre, I just want us to change the prism. I want prevention, support, justice.
At the time of writing you…
Angry. It was after the betrayal of the authorities over incest and child abuse, with this famous law of Billon, they put it out of pure demagoguery.
