Prince Harry says in his new memoir that just two words sparked a rift between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton shortly before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex married in 2018.
The Sun has obtained an early copy of Harry Spare’s memoir, which was accidentally put on sale in Spain five days before its official publication date.
In a loosely translated press extract from Thursday, The Sun says the confrontation began when Meghan told Kate on the phone that she had a “baby brain”. Kate recently gave birth to her third child, Prince Louis.
The Sun claims Meghan was scolded by Prince William, who put a finger in her face, which the Duchess asked her to remove.
Other outlets that have obtained copies of Harry’s book have confirmed that it contains the account.
Us Weekly detailed another disagreement between Meghan and Kate over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress, which left Meghan in tears, according to the publication.
The media initially reported that Meghan made Kate cry over her clash of bridesmaid dresses before the wedding.
Meghan told Oprah Winfrey in her 2021 interview that it was actually the other way around.

“The opposite [of what was reported] it happened,” Meghan told Winfrey in their interview. “And I don’t say that out of disrespect to anyone, because it was a really tough wedding week. AND [Kate] she was upset about something but she admitted and apologized and brought me flowers and an apology book and did what I would have done if I knew I was hurting someone, right? Just to take responsibility.”
“What was shocking is that six or seven months after our wedding, it was going to be the opposite of the world,” Meghan added.
When Oprah asked why the palace press offices didn’t correct the narrative when the opposite story was released, Meghan replied: “That’s a good question.”
“I hope so [Kate] He wished he had been corrected,” he continued. “Maybe in the same way the palace wouldn’t let anyone else disown it, it wouldn’t let you. Because he’s a good person.”
