Prince Harry has claimed his brother Prince William hit him and pushed him to the ground in a fit of rage after the Prince of Wales described Meghan Markle as “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”.
The battle is reportedly detailed in the royal memoirs, Spare, and The Guardian obtained and published an extract on Wednesday.
Harry said he tried to get William a glass of water, but he “came at me” instead.
“Everything happened so fast. So very quickly. He grabbed me by the collar, broke my necklace and threw me to the ground,” wrote the Duke of Sussex. “I landed on the dog bowl, which broke under my back, the pieces cutting me. I stood there for a moment, dazed, then I got up and told him to get off.”
According to the passage obtained by The Guardian, William left and said: “You don’t have to tell Meg.”
Harry wrote that his wife had now noticed the “scratches and bruises” and was “terribly sad”.

The royals are likely bracing for more accusations in the coming days as Prince Harry sits down with both Anderson Cooper and ITV’s Tom Bradby for interviews, which will air on January 8.
The date is particularly symbolic as it marks three years since Harry and Meghan announced they would be stepping down as active members of the royal family.
Harry’s Memoirs officially comes out on January 10th. The Duke said in a statement when the book was announced that he was “delighted that people are reading a first-hand account of my life which is accurate and completely truthful”.
The prince said at the time: “I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that by telling my story – the ups and downs, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that I’m not indifferent where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”
