The privatization auction will take place on January 17 on the Prozorro.Sales website. The starting price is 60 million hryvnia.
“Before the big war, almost everyone forgot about Ust-Dunaisk. The main investments went to other ports. But this year, Ust-Dunaisk began to play an important role in global food security . It is one of the first to continue work after the beginning of a full-scale invasion by the Russian army. It has great potential for the development of food exports. It requires investments that can be brought by the private business,” said Rustem Umerov, head of the State Property Fund.
It is known that after the start of the war, the port was blocked. However, on April 1, he resumed work. On that day, the first ship left from there. Since then, the port has handled 153,000 tons of grain for export. Besides, it handles imported products like salt, rice. Since April 1, the port has handled 58.3 thousand tons of imported consumer goods.
For January-September of this year, Ust-Dunaysk received 848 thousand hryvnias of net income. In January-November, he paid more than 9 million Hryvnias in taxes to the budgets of all levels.
The port consists of three properties: the port itself in the city of Vilkovo, Odessa region, the Kiliya port station in the city of the same name, and the service base for special lighter ships of carrier on Shabash Island. Direct loading and unloading is carried out at the port point of Kiliya, located 54 km from the Danube River. The depth of the passport in place – 3 m, actual – 1.5 m.
Recall that this year Ukraine increased grain exports along the Danube by 42 times. During 11 months of this year, three ports on the Danube handled 14.5 million tons of various cargoes. At the same time, the port of Ust-Dunaysk handled 662 thousand tons (+1314.7%).
