The Deposit Guarantee Fund for Individuals started the liquidation of Prominvestbank and MR Bank on February 25.
The Deposit Guarantee Fund ensured the transfer of funds in the amount of UAH 17 billion from the accounts of Prominvestbank and the International Reserve Bank (formerly Sberbank of Russia) to the special fund of the state budget. This was reported on the Foundation’s website on Wednesday, December 21.
It is indicated that we are talking about 3.169 billion hryvnias, 4.672 million euros, 372.272 million dollars, 53.3 thousand pounds sterling, 917.4 thousand Swiss francs and 43.9 thousand zlotys.
The Executive Directorate of the Guarantee Fund made such a decision in compliance with the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the forced seizure in Ukraine of objects of property rights of the Russian Federation and its residents and the order of the Cabinet of Ministers dated September 13.
It is known that the fund started the liquidation of Prominvestbank and MR Bank on February 25 based on the decisions of the board of the National Bank of Ukraine to revoke the banking licenses and liquidate them.
The same decision by the National Security and Defense Council was implemented by a presidential decree on May 11.
