This Thursday, food supplies to Lima’s wholesale markets continue to fall amid protests and checkpoint reported in the country.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), the Great Wholesale Market of Lima received 6,329 tons of produce today alone, down from recent weeks.
The data shows that what was reported this Thursday is 19.4% less than catering the normal of the last four registered Thursdays.
Similarly, potato-only income at this supply center fell 11.6% this morning.
Elsewhere in the capital Wholesale market Fruit No. 2 reported that the supply was 65.5% lower than in recent weeks, and amounted to only 873 tons of products.
What goods have risen in price?
At Lima’s Big Wholesale Market, the foods that grew the most today were green beans, canary beans, Andean black potatoes, yellow yucca, purple garlic, kanchan potatoes, and yellow tumbey potatoes.
