Five out of ten HR managers believe that labor conflict will rise next year 2023 due to internal factors between employee employer and external factors.
The results were reported in First report on labor disputes in private companiesmanufactured by Vinatea and Toyama.
The study shows that 53% of respondents are in favor of an increase in labor conflicts, while 34% believe that the indicators will remain the same, and 12% expect a decrease in conflicts.
Why will there be conflicts?
For Jorge Toyama, there are two types of reasons: internal and external. In the first case, it is caused by poor communication between the employer and his employees; in addition to the union pressure of the latter for labor benefits and wages go up.
“These results show a challenging work environment for employers and employees. people management leaders and that in order to counter them, it will be necessary to prioritize very effective people management actions, ”said Toyama.
Toyama also explained that there is currently an acute conflict environment, and this is evident from the increase in protests, it is estimated that there is at least one labor lawsuit for every 36 workers.
As of September 2022, there were 418 new labor protests and since June the trend has continued to rise.
“Analyzing all these figures, we see that the prospects for more conflict are rising by 2023, indicating that the global context of the political and economic crisis in the country is affecting the daily life of companies and is forcing company leaders to prepare for it,” he said.
