Metinvest Group has developed a new way to produce armored steel. This was announced by its CEO Yuri Ryzhenkov in an interview with Sky News.
“From the first days of a full-scale invasion, both of our shareholders (Rinat Akhmetov and Vadim Novinsky – ed.) decided that the company should support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We created new ways to build “” he said.
Ryzhenkov added that currently only two metallurgical plants of the company are operating, which are 50-60% loaded, but Metinvest has found opportunities to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We are transferring what the Ukrainian Defense Forces need in the field – cars, armored vehicles, thermal imagers, walkie-talkies and more,” he said.
It was previously reported that since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Metinvest group has allocated UAH 2.1 billion to support the army, civilians and its employees, 1.4 billion of them to support the military as part of the military initiative of Steel Front.
