British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrived in Ukraine on an unannounced visit. This was announced on Saturday, November 19, by President Volodymyr Zelensky, who met the distinguished guest in Kyiv.
This is the first visit of the new head of the British government to the capital of Ukraine.
“From the first days of the war, Ukraine and the UK have been strong allies. During the meeting, we discussed the most important issues both for our countries and for global security. Together we are stronger and will achieve desired results,” Zelensky said.
The details of the talks between the Ukrainian president and the British prime minister are not yet available.
Earlier, Rishi Sunak said that the current President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, is responsible for the military aggression against Ukraine.
