Lima (906 thousand 440 people) was the department with the highest level of job creation through activities such as agribusiness and clothing production. Ica (352,620 people) came in second due to its agribusiness and traditional mining activities. Other important ones were La Libertad, Piura, Ancash, Callao, Cajamarca and others.
