From the beginning of November, the electricity deficit in Moldova will be about 4070 MW/h, said Andrei Spinu.
Russian gas monopoly Gazprom confirmed the supply of 5.7 million cubic meters of gas per day to Moldova in November, which is 51% of the volume agreed in the contract. The Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova, Andrei Spinu, announced this the other day on Telegram.
According to him, the delivered volume of Russian gas will be distributed as follows: 3.4 million cubic meters per day for the right bank and 2.3 million cubic meters per day for the left bank. The Transnistrian region will receive 40% less than in October, he added.
Gas is used, in particular, for the production of electricity, the main producer is Moldavskaya GRES, located in the territory of Transnistria.
The Minister noted that reducing electricity consumption is very important.
“We ask you to continue the effort to save electricity. We have many good examples, but I am sure there is still room for responsibility,” he told the citizens.
Spinu pointed out that on November 1, the electricity deficit will reach 4,070 MW/h.
Last week it was reported that Moldova has started saving electricity. This is due to Russian aggressors shelling energy facilities in Ukraine.
