The amount of cash receipts from abroad reached $1.148 billion in September this year, the National Bank notes.
Ukraine received $1.148 billion in private transfers from abroad in September 2022. This figure is 0.7% more than a year earlier ($1.140 billion). This is confirmed by the data of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
According to the regulator, in January-September 2022, the country received $9.943 billion, which is 3.9% less than a year earlier ($10.348 billion).
Migrant workers transferred a record amount of $15.026 billion to Ukraine in 2021. This is 25.4% more than a year earlier – $11.980 billion.
In October, the National Bank of Ukraine improved the forecast for the volume of private transfers to Ukraine in 2022 from $12.6 billion to $13.9 billion.
For 2023, the forecast was raised from $13.1 billion to $16.4 billion, and $13.8 billion is expected in 2024.
As previously reported, the volume of private remittances increased by 2.5% in August compared to August last year and reached $1.2 billion.
In addition, in September 2022, residents of Ukraine sold cash and non-cash money in banks in the amount of $1,469.1 million (equivalent) and bought $1,638.7 million.
