Preferential prices for electricity for the population will remain until March 31, 2023.

The Cabinet of Ministers set electricity prices for the population of Ukraine until the end of the heating season. The impact of the special obligations imposed on market participants has been extended, the Ministry of Energy reported on Friday, October 28.

Thus, the preferential prices for electricity for the population will remain until March 31, 2023.

“Today, despite the war and the widespread destruction of the energy infrastructure, a decision was made to keep the tariffs for the population unchanged in order to avoid an additional financial burden on our citizens,” said Energy Minister German Galushchenko.

Please note that the current rates are:

  • 1.44 UAH/kWh – with consumption up to 250 kWh per month

  • 1.68 UAH/kWh – with consumption of more than 250 kWh per month

For dormitories, legal entities that receive migrants, dacha cooperatives, garages and religious organizations, the tariff of 1.68 UAH / kWh is also set.

This tariff is valid in multi-apartment buildings when using electricity for technical purposes: the operation of individual heating points, boiler rooms, elevators, pumps, intercoms and lighting of yards, stairs and license plates.

The new resolution added to the list of emergency and evacuation lighting, fire protection systems, ventilation, smoke removal and air conditioning systems, alarm systems and aviation beacons.

Remember that gas prices are fixed in September – until the end of the heating season. Naftogaz will sell gas to heat producers at a fixed price until the end of April next year.
