In recent days, the price of gas in the European market has fallen to the lowest level in several months.
Ukraine has increased gas imports from Europe since October 15 against the backdrop of lower prices, according to data from Ukraine’s GTS Operator.
So, on October 14, the application for gas supply to Ukraine from the EU was about 3 million cubic meters, and on October 15-16 it increased to 9.4-9.5 million cubic meters, on October 17 – up to 7.8 million cubic meters. The application for October 18 was increased to 12 million cubic meters.
At the same time, gas supplies to Ukraine are growing at the expense of Moldova and private companies that store gas in Ukrainian storage facilities.
Recall that on October 17, the price of gas in Europe fell below $1,400, and today – by another $200.
