The National Bank of Ukraine last week sold $744.88 million in the interbank foreign exchange market and also bought $7.1 million. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on the morning of Monday, September 26.
The National Bank increases the sale of foreign currency for the fourth week in a row. So, for August 29-September 2, the regulator sold about $240 million, for September 5-9 – about $482 million, and for September 12-16 – $528 million.
In total, since the beginning of 2022, the National Bank bought 3.121 billion dollars and 110.97 million euros and sold 18.607 billion dollars and 1.789 billion euros.
Earlier it became known that the National Bank does not intend to change the fixed hryvnia exchange rate, which was set at 36.6 hryvnia per dollar.
Meanwhile, the cash dollar continued to rise in price, approaching 43 hryvnias.
