This became possible thanks to Ukrainians who decided to travel to their country during the war.
Since the beginning of summer in Ukraine, travel companies specializing in domestic travel have begun to gradually resume their activities. On Thursday, September 22, the head of the State Agency for Tourism Development (GART) Maryana Oleskiv said in a commentary for RBC-Ukraine.

“Compared to last year, we can say that the market of tour operators, whose activities are related to the organization of travel in Ukraine, continued its work by about 20-50%,” he said.
According to Oleskiv, if we compare the number of licenses issued by GART on January 31, 2021 with the data for September 1, 2022, then the number of tour operators exclusively engaged in the organization of domestic travel remained unchanged – 363 companies. But the number of tour operators, the so-called “mixed type” – involved in organizing domestic and foreign travel, increased slightly: from 2,486 to 2,499 companies.
The head of the department recalled that in the first six months of 2022, a decrease in state budget revenues from the activities of tour operators was recorded – by 21%. Companies paid only UAH 83 million in taxes for the first half of 2022, while for the same period in 2021 they received UAH 106 million from them.
“It is still difficult to say how many tour operators operating in the domestic market have stopped their activities. We will be able to determine the exact number at the beginning of next year according to the reporting documentation of the companies. And so however I would like to note that Ukrainians have gradually begun to allow themselves short trips across the country with the aim of starting over to maintain efficiency and psychological tranquility. And this allows tour operators involved in arranging a trip to Ukraine to continue their work,” added Maryana Oleskiv.
It was previously reported that in the Carpathians tourists will be taken to the Black Swamp. This is a unique peat bog – its characteristic feature is the hump, and the depth of the peat deposit reaches six meters.
