“In financial terms, exporters received $3.36 billion, which is $411 million more than in July. The growth in exports is associated with the partial unblocking of the ports of Velikaya Odesa. This made it possible to significantly increase the volume of exports of Ukrainian goods,” the report said.
Transportation by sea increased by 85% and reached almost 2.9 million tons. By rail, Ukraine exported more than 3 million tons of goods abroad, by road – 1.36 million tons.
Exporters receive the largest income from goods exported by road – $1.48 billion, sea cargo is worth $995 million, and rail cargo – $788 million.
The leaders in terms of export value in August were: sunflower oil ($443 million). Its export volumes increased by 30% to 366 thousand tons. It was noted that Ukraine began to export a smaller amount of raw materials – sunflower seeds and more processed products.
Due to the unblocking of ports, corn exports increased by 31% to 1.5 million tons ($347 million).
It is noted that the upward trend is shown by confectionery processing products: bakery +19.4%, sugar +9.1%, chocolate +25%.
At the same time, the export of metallurgical products decreased due to the conquest and destruction of the southeastern regions. Specifically, 1.4 million tons of ore ($172 million) were exported in August.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in August Ukraine exported more than 4.5 million tons of agricultural products – the maximum since the beginning of the war.
