Ukraine exported 4.5 million tons of grain and oilseeds in August, the highest since the beginning of the Russian invasion. This was announced on Thursday, September 1, by Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky.

“In August, excluding the unblocked Black Sea ports, the export of grain and oilseeds from Ukraine reached 3 million tons. Here we are talking about exports by road freight transport , by train and from the Danube ports,” he said.
More than 1.5 million tons of agricultural products were exported through the grain corridor from unblocked ports.
Vysotsky recalled that before the war, the export of agricultural products from Ukraine reached 6 million tons per month.
According to the UN, in the first month of the grain corridor, the movement of 139 ships was allowed – 77 arrived at Ukrainian ports and 63 left them. The total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three ports of Ukraine is 1,546,516 tons.
