“We are also expecting a $1.5 billion aid grant from the US in September – this is the last tranche, and we also expect to receive macro-financial assistance from the EU in September and early October,” he said.
At the same time, Marchenko said that for Ukraine “it does not matter if it is a grant or a loan, because it is allocated for a long-term period on favorable terms. It is important for us to close the issue of liquidity.”
Earlier, Marchenko announced more than $5 billion in foreign aid to Ukraine in August, compared to $1.7 billion in July and $4.4 billion in June.
It should be noted that so far Ukraine has received about $17 billion of foreign aid out of $30 billion.
It will be remembered that since May, Ukraine has received only one billion euros out of nine promised by the European Union.
