“According to the pessimistic forecast, it is clearly possible to sow 70%. If the territories of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, with large areas of agriculture, can be cleaned in the coming weeks, it is possible to sow. Will grow. area of 80%, “he said.
The Deputy Minister assured that even with a decrease in the volume of crops, Ukraine will be able to provide itself with food.
“If you look at our plan to sow 70%, 30-40% is for domestic consumption. And there is also the rest for export,” he said.
It was previously reported that 1.07 million hectares of land have already been sown in Ukraine, which is 7.9% of the 13.44 million hectares planned for the current season. So far, the sowing campaign is ahead of last year’s pace.
