Ukrainians bought 2.3 more electric cars last month than in the same period in 2021.
Ukrainians bought and registered 1,732 electric vehicles in July. This is 2.3 times higher than in July 2021, and also 64% higher than the previous month. Profile association Ukravtoprom reported this on Wednesday, August 10.
The share of new cars in electric vehicle registrations is only 11% against 20% in July 2021.
The most popular passenger car in the all-electric car market is still the Nissan Leaf. In particular, 288 cars of this model passed their first registration in Ukraine in July.
The Volkswagen e-Golf is second with 151 registrations.
Third place – Volkswagen ID.4 – 134 registrations.
July’s top-5 also includes Renault Zoe – 112 cars and Tesla Model 3 – 75 cars.
Since the beginning of the year, almost 5,900 cars have re-entered the car park in Ukraine to power sources. This is 34% higher than the same period in 2021.
Recall that Hyundai presented its first all-electric sedan, the Ioniq 6.
In addition, in 2021, sales of electric cars in Ukraine grew by 20%, to 8,541 units, including 14.2% of registrations for new cars, compared to 8.9% last year.
