The bridge near the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station in the Kherson region was put out of action by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced on August 10 by the Operational Command “South”.

Our fire control of transport and logistics routes in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson led to the consolidation of the status of the bridge in the area of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station as unusable. The hit is accurate, but effective, – indicated in OK “South”.

Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the Antonovsky and Kakhovka bridges in the Kherson region, which are of strategic importance for the Russian occupation forces.

The hits are quite important – both on the Antonovsky Bridge and on the Kakhovka Bridge, – said then the head of the press center of OK “South” Natalya Gumenyuk.

We will remind, Major General Dmitry Marchenko, who until April led the defense of Nikolayevshchina, pointed out that it is difficult to hit the bridge in the area of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station due to the presence of critical infrastructure facilities (dam gates).
