The number of Peruvians with debt has increased in recent months, and now the survey datum shows that seven out of ten people claim to be in debt.
According to the survey, the number of people who indicated that their household has debt increased from 68% in March to 72% this month.
This situation debt it manifests itself in a similar way at all socio-economic levels (SES), but mainly occurs at the level of C.
Similarly, the Datum study states that there are more indebted Peruvians in the north (76.7%) and east (75.2%).
According to these figures, the study indicates that 32% Peruvian respondents confirmed that their income is not enough, they have a lot of difficult debts, and they believe that they will live in debt.
While 46% indicate that they cover part of their expenses with their income, but still have debts that they can hardly pay.
In a difficult economic situation, 62% of respondents said they were afraid of losing their Work or entrepreneurship. At the same time, 10% indicated that they do not have a job or entrepreneurship.
The majority of people who are afraid of losing their source of income are older in Lima and Callao (65.2%) and mostly belong to socioeconomic levels E (68.9%) and C (65.1%).
On the other hand, 58% of Peruvians say their income is currently lower than it was before the pandemic.
30% of respondents say that their level income remains the same, while for 11%, or 1 in 10 Peruvians, their current income is higher than in 2019.
